about

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the release date of my first studio record "Upstairs Downstairs" in 2008, I went back to my archives from that time period and listened through all the songs I wrote from 2005-2008 that didn't make the cut.

I picked some of the stand out tracks that could have made their own record, while very different from the one I put out. I was learning home recording at the time, so the songs are in a variety of qualities and some are rough worktapes, but the snapshot and the performance is there. I was always a lone wolf writing, writing away.

Here's my "journal" of stories and feelings from my mid-twenties, a small-town girl in a big city, experiencing young love and heartbreak and reflecting on it all.
Here is the second half - the "guitar" songs.

Enjoy!
